Even if Mendoza is widely recognized for the world best Malbec, our immigrants also brought the olive trees and developed olive oil production. To have a more complete impression of our traditions, the Olive Oil Tasting Tour is the ideal complement for a wine tour.

Come with us to discover the process of extracting oil, basically unchanged from ancient times. One of the most interesting places in Mendoza to discover this activity is Familia Zuccardi in Maipú. This 100% mendocinean company has developed a production focused on three varietals: Frantoio, Manzanilla & Arauco. Join us in a tour to visit the extracting area and finish your experience with a cosy lunch at Pan & Oliva, a restaurant where olive oil is the main ingredient. Here you can enjoy a soft lunch, starting with a traditional tapa, followed by a salad or pasta. Close your lunch with a special recipe: ice cream with pepper and olive oil.

For those interested in learning more about the olive oil activity, a class is available every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. During three hours, you can visit the almazara (the extraction place) and take a course in a private room, where didactic material is included.
